Civil engineers work in the public and private sectors, designing, building, supervising, operating, and maintaining construction projects. This includes everything from the construction of highways, bridges, and airports to skyscrapers like the One World Trade Center.
The qualification is divided into parts in such a way that when taken in conjunction with related N part courses (e.g. N4+N5+N6), learners can receive the National N Diploma after completing the required practical work component of either 18 months or two years, depending on the individual occupational sector.
